FIRST STEPS: Vaccinations
All pets should be
in good health. In the best interest of maintaining a healthy environment for
all our guests Pine Creek Pet Resort reserves the right to decline our services,
if your pet exhibits signs of illness.
NOTE: for those of
you whom raise your pets holistically, a vaccine titer test with a
veterinarian’s evaluation is completely acceptable.
If you are not
certain if your pet is properly vaccinated you can call your veterinarians
office, inform them that you will be boarding your pet and
ask if they would they please check to see if he or she is up to date on
vaccinations.
If you need to
schedule any updates try to schedule Two Weeks to One Month before
boarding. Be sure to tell your vet that you plan to board your pet. For short
notice vacations please inform your veterinarian of our 7 day limitation on
modified live viruses or contact us directly for information to give to your
veterinarian.
Puppies must have had their complete initial series of vaccinations, generally complete at approximately sixteen (16) weeks of age
Ask for a copy of
their vaccination records and bring that along with you when you come to board.

Dropping-off and Picking-Up:
All drop offs and pick ups are scheduled by appointment. This allows us to
properly run our business. Pick-ups at our facility are available until 5:50 pm.
Please schedule
enough time to allow us to speak with you about your pet. If you are coming in
early to pick up, give us a call and we will allow your pet to get out before
you arrive.
As sole-proprietors
we operate a very demanding schedule. We have set our hours to be generous
and still allow us the ability to keep up with our demanding schedule.
Tours:
You
may schedule a tour of the facility with yourself and your
pet to give everyone a chance to meet and become familiar.
* Travel
Tip: Get your suitcases out a week before going away. Yes, most of our
pets know that suitcases mean a change in routine and this will give them some
time to get used to it.
Also, withhold food
four hours prior to bringing your pet to board, and four hours after you return
home.
Food:
Bring your pet's food along. Label the container with their name and feeding
instructions to ensure your pet will receive the proper food and amount.
A note on Unspayed Females:
Females in heat are
not accepted for boarding as it severely disrupts our daily schedule. Females
that come into heat while boarding will be subject to a $30 daily surcharge.
Flea Treatment:
This is a country kennel and we go outside daily.
All pets must be on a flea and tick prevention program or holistic regimen.
Most vets would
strongly encourage your pet be wormed once a year. Worming regularly is highly
beneficial to your pets health!
